Paxlovid usage was expected to be supply-constrained, but instead it seems that demand is weak
The underwhelming impact of software engineering research. Interesting per se, but also interesting that the first point is short-termism, when long-termism is probably as much of a problem. The author, in fact, describes typical long-termist thinking: “small scale, short-term projects can be justified (perhaps) in a reductionist world where it can be argued that these can form the building blocks for some larger system.” This is classical long-termism.
