Two emails in two days, but I have a big piece of news: I’m moving to Brisbane (Australia). I will be joining the Centre for Microbiome Research (CMR) at QUT.
This is a great opportunity and I’m excited to join the team there.
Scientifically, I will be doing very much the same thing: working on the global microbiome. In this, investigating small proteins1 is a growing interest of mine, but I will keep working on tool development2 alongside applications projects. At CMR, I will be able to add more wetlab work as well, truly building a full stack microbiome research group.
BTW, for those that don’t know: I have an open invitation for anyone who wants to discuss to get a virtual coffee. Just schedule it or email me to get in touch.
We already have some published work on that front, but also some very exciting manuscripts in the pipeline.
And, as per our public commitments, any existing tool will be maintained in the future.
