Ideas are not getting harder to find: I think this is probably correct. Some fields and subfields may be over-explored, but there are green pastures still.
My students cheated… A lot… and Researcher who most likely faked data is cleared by his university of wrongdoing (in part because there was no records of the faked data given that … ahem… the data was faked)
Is long covid even real? Even if it is real (and, on balance, I still believe that there is something real), the long covid fear mongering I see on social media (claims that it is 20% of covid cases are abundant!) should start to be treated as medical misinformation

A counterpoint to the idea that everything is more poorly made and doesn't last as long these days. It used to be that television dealerships would provide service and support, as with cars. Today electronics are so reliable this is needless.
